636 // Oto Veltauri – Trill

Oto Veltauri's debut album on Kyma Komplex is a must-have! Check it out!

The booming Kyma Komplex went all the way up to Georgia and found skilled and creative producer Oto Veltauri. With the stunning album “Dark Celebration”, he marks his debut on the beloved Mexican label with a stunning selection of eight out-of-the-box gems influenced by the experimental works of Georgian composer Natela Svanidze and her groundbreaking piece “Epitaphium” (1974).

Exploring modular synth sounds – featuring four tracks performed on a vintage Moog Modular synthesizer from the 1960s –, Oto managed to deliver an actual multi-genre and multi-sensorial experience with some well-crafted hard-to-pigeonhole stuff, result of the spicy concoction of Lo-Fi, IDM, Electro, Breakbeat, Acid House, & whatnot elements, depicting an extremely mature talent in blending his universe of influences.

Premiered here, “Trill”, whose title is defined as “a quavering or vibratory sound, especially a rapid alternation of sung or played notes”, comes wrapped in the correct amount of quavering and vibratory acid sound perfectly paired with bouncing 1980s-clad beats culminating in a minimalistic and hypnotic theme.

You can find (and buy) this and other music pearls on the Bandcamp page of the label.
