Kent-based duo Angus and Tim bonded over dance music and rum cocktails, and that friendship eventually turned into Puerto Montt City Orchestra. Their wide‑ranging influences and early years behind the decks recently evolved into production work, with a clear Balearic thread running through everything they make. They now debut on Citizens Of Vice with “What Has Happened?,” a four‑track EP featuring two originals and two remixes of the title track, handled by quiethouse and Mass Density Human. The label has a knack for spotting emerging talent, and this release fits that pattern nicely.

Premiered here, the original moves with a sexy, mellow gait – unhurried and warm, with soft synth leads drifting across the arrangement. A beautiful piano layer sits at the heart of the track, adding a touch of elegance. There’s even a theremin‑like incursion, a playful detail that lifts the whole piece.
