Under the Pleasure Model alias, Antoni Maiovvi is back on Budapest’s Dalmata Daniel with Operator, an album named after the single synthesizer that shaped its eight tracks. By restricting himself to one tool, Maiovvi builds a world from a limited set of moves. The results feel like signals from a forgotten console, glitchy and warm in equal measure. There’s a strange comfort in the machine’s logic, a rhythm that feels programmed yet alive. The cassette edition, paired with Studio Jetski’s artwork, completes a cohesive, self‑contained artefact from a producer who knows that constraints often lead to the most interesting places.

Premiered here, “Corrupt Powershelling” evokes a glitched terminal, a corrupted system, a command line gone haywire. The track locks into a repetitive, hypnotic groove that never overstays its welcome. Intensity builds through small shifts – a filter opening here, a new texture sneaking in there – but the track never tips into overwhelm. Genre‑wise, it resists easy labels: not House, not Techno, just a strange, mechanical pulse that feels like a system error turned into rhythm. There’s a certain grit to it, a raw edge that keeps the listener engaged without demanding too much. A curious, compelling piece that sits comfortably in its own odd territory.
