Hailing from Sinaloa, Mexico, and having started its activities less than one year ago, the prolific platform Nativo, managed by local heroes Roliva, Fausto (SXDNS064), Prince Terrible, and Chinosynth (FREEDL021), has fast become a powerhouse when it comes to developing the underground music scene in their neighbourhood by bringing to life not only solid releases but also too-hot-to-trot parties and events. The lads finally kick off the year of the label (better late than never) with a stunning single by one of the big heads of the project: Prince Terrible’s “Conmigo” comes with a selection of remixes made with love by none other than Zombies In Miami, Mijo, Gameboyz (SXDNS061), and Psycho Weazel.
The single works as a showcase of Mr. Terrible’s creativity and multi-skills. Combining a pop attitude with acid elements, “Conmigo” has definitely the grasp of a peak-time cut devoted to triggering chaos and disorder on dance floors. Hence, caveat emptor.
For their powerful interpretation, the Spanish duo Gameboyz took the original on a joyride through the Electroclash road. Charlie & Kali let the juice flow by adding extra vocals and covering “Conmingo” with their characteristic sonority. The result is a version with less pop and more acid, Gameboyz style.
You can find (and buy) this and other music pearls on the Bandcamp page of the label.
