492 // Rem’s Martinez & Arvè – Kiss & Fly (Original Mix)

The VA series of the French imprint Little Family Records reaches its third episode. Premiered here, Rem's Martinez & Arvè's contribution.

Hailing from Landes, a department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, Southwestern France, with a long coastline on the Atlantic Ocean to the west, the cool label Little Family Records has a beautiful story when it comes to its origins: a group of friends who decided to share their grasp of high-quality underground electronic music by promoting the work of like-minded artists through releases and events. The forthcoming chapter of their journey, “Lil Sampler 003”, celebrates the beginning of the Summer season with the reunion of nine young and promising talents that represent the community spirit of the label: Jean Peron, Disco Stup, Lych, Rem’s Martinez (SXDNS108) & Arvè, L’HKLeon, E DARTA, Fakt, and ANMA spared no efforts to bring well-constructed and creative cuts to the multi-genre compilation.

The track we were solicited to review/premiere comes is the result of the collaboration between Rem’s Martinez & Arvè. With different music backgrounds, the two French producers had to meet halfway and deliver a blend of their characteristic sonorities: “Kiss & Fly” is a Synthpop-meets-Modern-Disco cut with a nervous bassline, a progressive guitar-like layer, and simple-but-rich vocals bring to life a theme with an aura both upbeat and bleak, definitely an interesting outcome.

You can find (and buy) this and other music pearls on the Beatport page of the label.
