Epicure is a person who takes particular pleasure in fine food and drink; and in the case of the eponymous label, in good music as well.

For its twentieth instalment, the prolific French outlet brought together some underground e-music connoisseurs and their respective specialties to give birth to its very first compilation series: “Taste the Tempo” is a seven-course experience cooked with love by young and skilled talents from different corners of our cursed & doomed little blue dot. Doing the honours: Anastasia Zems (SXDNS169), Guada Mariani, Ludmila Fuks (SXDNS361), Meltem Yazar, KRLY, Xols, and Zehava Glantz.

Premiered here, the rich contribution by Chef Meltem Yazar, a promising DJ and producer with previous works published on Playground and Epicure itself, comes soaked in acid and attitude. Seared in 135 BPM and seasoned with cosmic dust and trancy fervour, “Protocol” is a delicacy to be served as a peak-time main dish. Caveat emptor: It’s strikingly spicy!
