Hailing 50% from Mexico and 50% from Guatemala, Alfa Trigueña is the promising new label curated by none other than Tyu & Fabio Me Llaman Soltero (SXDNS187). After presenting Chrysalis with remixes by Thomas Von Party, A-Tweed (SXDNS222/FREEDL029) & Mi Sun for its debut release, the imprint now welcomes Mexican artists ALF CHAMPION & MDHNTR feat. Marcos for its second instalment. Lithuanian producer Shkema completes the EP with not one but two remixes.

The fruitful partnership between ALF CHAMPION & MDHNTR is not so recent. Previously, the duet has already had their work published on important labels of the so-called Indie Dance/Dark Disco scene: Electric Shapes, Bonkers, Playground, and New Day Everyday, for instance. For “Eins” EP; they repeated their successful formula: raw psychedelia and savage multi-stimulating sounds handed over through a wide range of different tempos and Latin body music rhythms.

The track we were solicited to premiere brings the lads flirting with frolic sonorities and playful elements. It is like if they were in the studio surrounded by noisy and clattery toys, just fooling around, and suddenly decided to record all the buzz, bang, boom, clang, and thud, add some percussive layers and FXs, and voila! A creative and out of the box theme is born.
