577 // Do/se – Rua Saudade (Agrabah Remix)

This super remix for Do/se made with love by Agrabah is coming soon on the Brazilian label COMPLEXO.

The Portuguese word “saudade” is defined as an emotional state of melancholic or profoundly nostalgic longing for a beloved yet absent something or someone. It is proudly believed, both in Brazil and Portugal, there is no equivalent in other languages – but there is (Japanese, Spanish, and German, for instance). Not in English, though. You can try to use “nostalgia” or “wistfulness”, but be aware they are far from the real meaning of the beautiful Portuguese term.

And talking about “saudade”, we missed the presence of our dear friend Ágatha Prado aka Agrabah on our platform. She was one of the first artists to support us in the very beginning of our journey with a groovy and cheery selection (SXDNS008), and later as part of the duo Caju with both a mixtape (SXDNS200) and a free download (FREEDL016).

All this talk about fond memories aims to introduce “Rua Saudade” to you, the brand-new endeavour of the Brazilian duo Do/se coming soon on COMPLEXO. Premiered here, Agrabah’s remix showcases the versatility of the rising & shining Curitibana producer who decided to take a stroll through greener pastures and present a darker side of her sonority by featuring a bouncing and embodied interpretation of the title track. Kudos!

You can find (and buy) this and other music pearls on the Beatport page of the label.
